Terms and Conditions for Domestos The Longest Drop Adventure
1. The Promoter
The promoter is: Unilever UK Limited, 3 St James Rd, Kingston upon Thames KT1 2BA.
2. Eligibility
Applications are only open to all residents in Great Britain aged 18 years or over, except:
employees of the Promoter or its holding or subsidiary companies.
employees of agents or suppliers of the Promoter or its holding or subsidiary companies, who are professionally connected with the adventure or its administration; or
members of the immediate families or households of (a) and (b) above.
3. How to Apply
The application form will be open from 12:00 BST on 17 April 2024 (the "Opening Date") to 23:59 BST on 23 April 2024 (the "Closing Date") inclusive. All entries received after the Closing Date are automatically disqualified.
To enter, submit the webform at www.domestos.com/uk/thelongestdrop.html, which includes the submission of a video entry explaining why you believe you should take on the adventure to the UK's hardest-to-reach toilet in Snowdonia, 1000ft deep underground.
In submitting your application, you confirm that you are eligible to attend the adventure.
4. The Adventure
We are looking for up to 2 participants to take part in an adventure with Domestos to the UK’s hardest-to-reach toilet situated within Go Below Underground Adventures in Snowdonia, which will be filmed for promotional purposes. This will include:
Adventure activities such as abseiling.
One night’s overnight stay at Go Below’s Deep Sleep cabins;
Travel, food and drink costs as agreed with the Promoter; and
Potential coverage in Domestos related publicity and advertising.
The travel and accommodation will be booked by the Promoter in advance, with the itinerary supplied to the participant at least 48 hours ahead of the adventure. Participants may not bring plus ones.
This experience is not negotiable or transferable. No cash alternative will be given.
Publicity
The selected participants may be required to participate in publicity arising during the adventure. A release form will be provided to all applicants to agree to this upon being selected as a participant.
The Promoter does not guarantee that participants are featured in any promotional activity by Domestos.
Applications
There is a limit of one application per person. Entries on behalf of another person will not be accepted and group submissions are not allowed.
Applicants agree that they will be available to participate in the adventure hosted at Go Below, Snowdonia on both 30th April and 1st May 2024.
Applicants agree that they have good physical fitness and are physically able to participate in the Go Below adventure. It will include a substantial amount of walking, including steep up and downhill gradients on uneven terrain and physical activities such as zip lining, abseiling, and climbing up ladders. Shortlisted applicants will be risk assessed by the Promoter for their suitability to attend the adventure at their sole discretion. The Promoter’s decision will be final.
The Promoter will not accept:
responsibility for applications that are lost, incomplete, as a result of any equipment failure, technical malfunction, systems, satellite, network, server, computer hardware or software failure of any kind; or
proof of posting or transmission as proof of receipt of application to the adventure.
The Promoter will not accept applications that are:
automatically generated by computer or created by artificial intelligence (including but not limited to chatbots such as ChatGPT or similar software applications);
completed by third parties; or
incomplete.
Videos uploaded must be in .mp4, .m4v, .webm and .mov as long as the file is under 500mb.
Selection Criteria
Applications will be assessed by the Promoter based on the quality of answers provided in the form and video. Participants will be selected based on the following criteria: the hardest-to-reach toilet experience, most interesting adventure or journey and ease with speaking to the camera. The decision of the Promoter will be final and no correspondence or discussion will be entered into.
The Promoter reserves the right to select no participants if the quality of the entries does not meet their requirements.
The Promoter reserves all rights to disqualify you if your conduct is contrary to the spirit or intention of the adventure.
Applications should not be obscene or indecent (including but not limited to nudity, pornography, or profanity), must not contain defamatory statements or words or symbols that are offensive either generally or to individuals of a certain race, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation or socioeconomic group. It must not include threats to any person, place, business, or group, it must not invade privacy or other rights of any person, firm or entity, and it must not in any other way violate applicable laws and regulations or network standards. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify such applications.
Applications, i.e. the online submissions, cannot be retrieved and returned to the applicants.
The Promoter will contact the selected participants by email (domestos@wcommunications.co.uk). Participants will have 24 hours to respond otherwise their place will lapse and a substitute participant may be selected.
Data protection
Applicants’ personal data collected for the purpose of administering this Promotion by the Promoter and/or by its agents will be handled in accordance with Promoter’s privacy notice, available at https://www.unilevernotices.com/privacy-notices/united-kingdom-english.html
General
If there is any reason to believe that there has been a breach of these terms and conditions, the Promoter may, at its sole discretion, reserve the right to exclude the applicant from participating in the adventure.
The Promoter reserves the right to hold void, suspend, cancel, or amend the details of the event where it becomes necessary to do so. By participating in this adventure, you agree to release, discharge and hold us harmless from any and all injuries, liability, losses and damages of any kind resulting from your participation in this promotion (save that nothing shall limit our liability for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by our negligence).
These terms and conditions and any issues or disputes which may arise out of or in connection with these terms and conditions (whether such disputes or issues are contractual or non-contractual in nature, such as claims in tort, for breach of statute or regulation or otherwise) shall be governed by and construed in accordance with English law. Applicants hereby irrevocably submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts to settle any such dispute or issues.
